We have had a direct payment system in place since December 2020 which has been running well and gives our patients an option to pay online rather than having to ring the surgery. This is a secure encrypted system called Collect and has been set up by Bank of Ireland and Way2Pay. If you have had a phone consultation or other service at The Healthcentre, we will send you out an SMS message with a unique code usually that evening or following day. When you click on this, it will ask you for the last 4 digits of your mobile number for security purposes. It will then open up an invoice for you and instructions for making payment. Once payment is made, you will receive a confirmation SMS.
We are aware of the increase in ‘scam’ messages which have been circulating alleging to be sent from some popular online sites. Please be assured we will only send a payment request if you have had a service with us.
This is an example of the wording of the SMS you should receive (the link will have http://collect.way2pay.org), and what our invoice looks like. If you have any concerns please email us on email@example.com or phone the surgery.
