HSE RANSOMWARE ATTACK:
We have been assured by our IT support that our IT system remains safe.
The HSE ransomware issue is effecting us in the following ways:
- Hospital/Clinic Referrals: Cannot be submitted online as normal, they must be manually submitted.
- Bloods: Navan laboratory is only processing emergency blood samples, so ALL blood test appointments are postponed unless they are very urgently required, i.e pre-chemotherapy etc. We will be receiving hard copies of results and these will be slow in arriving.
- We cannot receive results of COVID swabs or laboratory samples in the usual way: we assume these will eventually be received in the post, but we simply don’t know yet.
- Department of Social Welfare: it is not possible to submit illness benefit certs online. We are currently providing hard copy certs which you will need to collect at reception.
We will continue to do our best to provide normal services.
While we appreciate that patients will encounter difficulties contacting HSE / hospitals, and will have queries regarding HSE appointments, we have no extra information about services impacted by the Ransomware attack.
We are advised that information will be updated regularly on the HSE website: www.hse.ie
Please do not contact our staff about Ransomware / hacking questions: HSE.IE should be your first port of call, as all staff at the Healthcentre are already exceptionally busy.
Very many thanks for your support in these difficult times.
